Truer words were never spoken. As stated in my previous blog, I have recently been forced to acknowledge something that in my younger years I refused to believe: my dad was right about boys!
When it comes to what women and men want it seems like we are on two different planets. All women really want from men is to be made to feel like they are the most beautiful woman in the world. All men really want from woman is: they have no idea.
Men only know what they want when they see it and sometimes all they see is the shiny, red ferrari with huge fake boobs and no brain. I'll admit it; the shiny, red ferrari IS really cool to look at. Until you go to get an oil change and they charge you $600. Yikes! Should've gone with the super pretty Jetta with the extra room in the trunk ;)
As I sit here and sip my homemade sangria I can't help but think that we don't have to be as far as way from each other as Venus & Mars. After all, at the end of the day we're all human beings that need to love and be loved.
It COULD be simple. Just let go of your pride. Guys; stop acting like you are Jesus Christ walking on water. Girls; stop telling boys what you think they want to hear just so you can have a man in your life. Go learn some life skills and spend some time figuring out who you are as a person.
I hope we all get our crap together really soon because we're all missing the good stuff. AKA the babies, the building a home with someone, the watching your kids grow up, etc.
Life is too short to play stupid games.
